Press Release Summary = As per a report, there has been seen a downfall in the cases
of mortgage endowments. This has been made possible by proper settlement of disputes
with the help of related authorities. New trend shows a remarkable downfall by 18
percent over the last year. But, on the other hand banking and insurance related
complaints have gone up.

Press Release Body = London (bad-credit-mortgage-choice) July 6, 2006: According to
The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), the mortgage endowment complaints have fallen
low and most of them were settled last year. As per its published annual review for
2005/2006, it had settled around 69,149 mortgage endowment complaints, which is a
remarkable feat.

Chief Ombudsman Walter Merricks said: \"We appear at last to be seeing some signs of
a levelling-off of the exceptionally high volumes of mortgage endowment complaints
that have dominated our workload in recent years. Second, we succeeded during the
year in settling a record number of disputes - a third more than in the previous
year and more than double the number resolved three years ago.\"

A sheer fall in complaints about investments is a very good sign, but there are
other areas of concern as complaints about banking and insurance have climbed up by
31 percent and 25 percent respectively. Last year, FOS sorted out a total of 119,432
financial disputes in specific period of time which is 31 percent higher than what
they did earlier in a year. Well, half of the disputes settled were related to UK's
largest financial service groups.
